Justification

We still consider this promise to be pending. However, we note that the governement has signaled its intention to introduce legislation to decrease the administrative burden on childcare operators in its Speech from the Throne.

“Legislation will be introduced in this session in response to what government has heard from child-care operators to streamline processes and decrease the administrative burden on them.”

Justification

Traces of this promise can be found in the mandate letter addressed to the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, Claire Johnson. Mandate letters define ministerial objectives. Therefore, this promise remains an ongoing priority, and we will monitor its implementation.
