Promise History
1.05.008 - “[Reform the school] closure review process”
03-May-2022
There is no evidence of any reform to either the school review process or to the Public Accommodation Review Guideline during the 2018-2022 Term, and therefore this promise is considered broken.
30-Jun-2018
To date, the current provincial government has not made any changes to the Pupil Accommodation Review Guideline (PARG) that had been revised by the previous government under Premier Kathleen Wynne. This promise therefore remains not yet rated.
“Your input has helped inform the new revised PARG (2018). The new PARG applies to all school boards in Ontario. The ministry thanks everyone who submitted their feedback during the two phases of consultation in fall 2017 and winter 2018.”

“The Ministry of Education’s Community Planning and Partnerships Guideline (CPPG) outlines requirements for school boards to reach out to their local municipalities and other community partners to share planning related information and to explore potential partnership opportunities. The Pupil Accommodation Review Guideline (the ‘Guideline’) builds upon the CPPG by providing requirements for school boards to share information with and seek feedback from their local municipalities and other community partners related to any pupil accommodation reviews a school board initiates.”
