Justification

We acknowledge the Health Minister’s (John Dornan) statement, and consider this promise still pending.

“We can’t put all our eggs in any single basket there”, Dornan said. We have to work aggressively on both those fronts”. “More than 1100 people were waiting for a nursing home bed in New-Brynswick as of Oct. 31 2024, with 540 of those sitting in hospital”.

Justification

Traces of this promise can be found in the mandate letter addressed to the Minister responsible for Women’s Equality and Seniors, Lyne Chantal Boudreau. Mandate letters define ministerial objectives. Therefore, this promise remains an ongoing priority, and we will monitor its implementation.
