There has not been more funding for the Aboriginal Head Start in Urban and Northern Communities (AHSUNC) program since the 2021 budget.

“NAHSC, AHSUNC regional organizations, and PHAC have started discussions on addressing these priorities, in light of new investments in Budget 2021 through the Indigenous Early Learning and Childcare (IELCC) Initiative that provides incremental funding increases for the AHSUNC Program over the next five years, beginning in 2022-23, totalling $122.9 million.”
